Hip-Hop is in a state of silence. Red Silence is in a state of hip-hop. In 2008, three artists and friends from the first state of Delaware founded Red Silence, questionably the most promising hip hop talents emerging from the local scene. The plan is to see Delaware on the map and we’ve found the right cats to front the mission. Red Silence masters the keys to the art form in a simplistic way, heavy beats, dope rhymes and wordplay, and staying true to one’s self. From first take you can truly get a feeling of where these guys heads and hearts are. They’re tell-all style makes it easy to recognize and fully understand just exactly where they’re coming from when you hear it. Red Silence is made up of Redjay (Jason Hall), Big Silence (Scott Cavanaugh), and beat genius Gary Gnu (Gary Nolan). All three members were born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware and have a combined four plus decades worth of experience with their crafts. No punches pulled, no fancy gimmicks to sell, Red Silence is the true definition of raw. They respectfully embody the key elements of hip-hop in daily life while staying true to their game, their art, and most important, themselves. If you are a fan of hip-hop music, you will surely love the unique sound of Red Silence.
Their debut LP and first effort, “Scream Machines” due out in late December marks a huge stepping-stone for the heavyweight trio. The coming album is 19 tracks of classic material, all killer with no fill, no by-product. It features the best emcees from the surrounding area as well as DJ Rob Swift from the legendary Executioners crew on their song “Hook Man”. Expect a lot and get more! Scream Machines will be independently released with hopes of a distribution deal in the future. They will sell the CD from their website, hand to hand, and through the help of a few businesses that support their cause on site. You can purchase products online at www.redsilencer.com and also check out their myspace page at www.myspace.com/redsilencehiphop. This group will be a deciding factor on the path to the future of hip-hop entertainment and will be interesting to follow throughout the coming years. The prediction is larger than life, and they’ve got Delaware fully in their corner. People will indefinitely remember the names, the times, and the legendary music of Red Silence.
